Prototyping TEDxStanford
Saturday’s Society, Technology, Art and Nature (STAN) conference brought together a number of Stanford affiliated speakers and artistic performers at the Arrillaga Alumni Center. STAN was modeled after the popular “TED talks” and served as a prototype for an independently organized TEDx conference under consideration for 2012. Big names headlining STAN included David Hornik, a lecturer at the Graduate School of Business and a venture capitalist at August Capital, and women’s basketball head coach Tara VanDerveer.
