After a split series against archrival Cal, No. 16 Stanford women’s basketball (19-9, 13-3 Pac-12) will play its final two games of the regular season on the road as it travels to Washington (7-20, 1-15) on Friday before taking on Washington State (10-18, 3-13) on Sunday.

Stanford is coming off a loss to Cal on Sunday and is looking to bounce back and regain momentum before the Pac-12 tournament in Seattle on March 1-5. After Cal snapped the Cardinal’s seven game winning streak, Stanford dropped to second in Pac-12 standings. However, as No. 10 UCLA dropped two games last week, the Cardinal are now sole second to No. 8 Oregon. Stanford needs to win out to secure its seed in the tournament and could move up to first in the case that Oregon loses to either ASU or Arizona this weekend.

The Cardinal are facing two very challenged teams this weekend, as the Huskies are last in the Pac-12 while the Cougars are tenth in the conference. On the other hand, Stanford has won seven of its last eight games behind senior Brittany McPhee, who led the Pac-12 in scoring in the month of February. Averaging 22.5 points per game this month, the senior is averaging 18.2 points a contest over the season, which is the most since Candice Wiggins put up 20.2 points per game in the 2007-2008 season.

Tipoff is scheduled at 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both games will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
