Gymnasts continue individual success at Winter Cup Challenge

Junior Akash Modi of the Stanford men’s gymnastics team was nominated to the U.S. Senior National Team this weekend through the 2016 P&G Gymnastics Championship from June 3-5 after placing second in the all-around at the Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada with a 175.300.

The Cardinal standout finished second on high bar, seventh on parallel bars, 10th on pommel horse and rings, and 18th on vault and floor.

Teammates junior Taylor Seaton, sophomore Robert Neff and freshman Grant Breckenridge also joined Modi in Las Vegas.

Breckenridge placed 13th in the all-around and fifth on parallel bars with a career-best 14.700. Sophomore Robert Neff finished 15th in the all-around and fifth on high bar. Junior Taylor Seaton placed 33rd in the all-around and fifth on vault.
