Lacrosse’s Leslie Foard named MPSF Player of the Week

Feb. 16, 2011, 1:35 a.m.

Senior midfielder Leslie Foard was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week after contributing two goals and an assist in the No. 13 Cardinal’s 13-12 upset over No. 10 Notre Dame.

This is the first time Foard has won the award in her career, and she is the first Stanford player to win it since Claire Hubbard on April 26 last year.

The win came in Stanford’s first game of the season. The Cardinal has an early MPSF contest against Fresno State tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
